Suite for a Windy Spring: The Old North Wind

Chad and I anxiously watching the Ol’ North Wind blast the hell out of our friends in Texas last month.

This is one of those winters that won’t seem to quit. It’s definitely been milder than last year in Vancouver, but a lot of old friends had a pretty tough go for a while. Those tough times and a my recent obsession with Over The Garden Wall inspired me to paint my version of the Ol’ North Wind.

One of my favorite seasonal activities is creating new themed playlists of Spotify to get me in the mood. When I heard Propinquity’s “Suite for a Windy Spring,” I knew I’d found the keystone for a playlist that a groundhog could chill out to while waiting for the sun to come and chase the last bits of winter away. Spoiler alert, there is a lot of 70s folk on this one. But that’s mostly what I do now.

Also, did you know Canada has not one, but TWO groundhog oracles who, unlike Punxsutawney Phil, both predicted an early spring this year? Groundhog Minority Report, y’all!

Anyway, enjoy the jams.
