For the past several years I’ve participated in Inktober in a semi-noncommittal way. I am a big fan of 30 day challenges. Even though they consume more of my “paint what I want” time than I can offer to complete the challenge, I often come up with ideas that I never would have if left to my own devices. The prompt that led to this illustration was “Fancy.” I heard in a Frank Frazetta documentary that he said he chose to paint the moment that was the height of the action in a scene. I think we can all relate to the moment depicted above, right?
